PURPOSE OF JOB

 To take responsibility for the day to day operations and liaise with various stakeholders.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

1)     Operational

a)      Blank container numbers for loads happening on the day, especially steri containers

b)     Blank GEO numbers for loads older than the day of loading

c)      TempCheck tick list to ensure the Bookings department have indicated in LogLive the relevant services

d)     Missing Client Temperature Acceptance Report indicating temp codes in LogLive but not set up in BELS/Sensi with parameter

e)     TempTale Temperature Alerts to be analysed on Sensi and relevant action taken

f)       Request, analysis and sanity checks for Port and Depot Monitoring

g)      Request, analysis and sanity checks for PPECB Monitoring

h)     Arrived at FD Notifications

i)       Arrived at FD without attachments notifications

j)       Manual TempCheck email notifications to be analysed and sent to clients with accurate and complete info

k)      Assist with all dispute resolutions internally and externally

l)       Responsible for all temperature download data to be retrieved from supplier website

m)    Email Alert Notifications and follow ups

n)     Assist with PO files and Transporter mails to update temptales utilized

o)     Weekend Duty for all operations

 

2)     Stock Management Assistance

a)      Distribution of ALL PLS stock to transporters, colds stores and LCL DBN/PE offices based off requests received (internally and externally), stock sheet updated and future date of GEO’s where necessary

b)     Acknowledgement letters and arrange courier/deliver where necessary

 

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Grade 12 (Essential).
  • Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business 
    Management or related field (Preferable).
  • At least 2-years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics of Perishables (export-related).
  • Strong persuasive and outstanding organisational skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Willingness to work additional hours from time to time due to nature of business.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • High levels of motivation and pro-activeness.
  • Strong, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Fair knowledge of the Intermodal Logistics industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
