Heritage Day Potjiekos Competition

Last year’s Potjiekos Competition was a BIG hit… so we’re doing it again!

Bring your team spirit!

You’ll be cooking in your team-building teams, but before the day arrives, every team needs to get creative and choose a name and create a banner that represents your potjie crew.

You will need to:

• Bring your potjie pot

• Bring a gas bottle & topper

• Bring your cooking tools/utensils

We will supply the rest – including all the ingredients you’ll need for your potjie. And yes… no need to pack your spice collection!  We’ll supply the spices.

On the day, you’ll receive your ingredients, and it will be up to your team to turn them into a delicious potjie worthy of the winning title. Everything you receive must go into your pot, so there’s no sneaky swapping or leaving the unpopular ingredients behind! Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

For catering purposes, each team will enjoy their own potjie once the cooking is done.

And because every good Heritage Day celebration needs something sweet, we’ll also be serving some classic koeksisters and melktertjies
